Sunday School for Adults:
College Hill Moravian Church has three adult bible
study classes that meet each week: One
class is on on Thursday at 6:30pm the other
meets on Sunday at 9:30am (9:15 for a cup of
warmer-upper). Both meet in the basement parlor. Currently
the focus of the study is:
.............patience. The third class is
studying The Moravian Unity also at 9:30 Sunday
morning. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend
any class at any time. It's a great way to begin the
week - or get a break in the middle of it!
MORAVIAN WOMEN:
MORAVIAN WOMEN includes all women of College Hill Moravian Church. MORAVIAN WOMEN is divided into circles that meet monthly (Sep.-June) for friendship, study, and service. At College Hill there are two circles: Hope Circle, which meets the third Wednesday of the month at 9:30 A.M., and Faith Circle, which meets the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 P.M.
At the meetings there are discussions of the contents of two booklets that are published yearly. One booklet deals with Spiritual Life, which promotes Christian growth through study and prayer. The other booklet is Mission-in-Action, which deals with the world wide mission of the church.
MORAVIAN WOMEN serve the church in various ways: preparing and serving dinners for special occasions, in charge of Election Day Bake sales twice a year, holding Christmas Cookie Exchange in December, and helping to organize special meetings in cooperation with other groups at College Hill. Financial support is given to College Hill, various local programs, and to regional and provincial projects.
MORAVIAN WOMEN continues to welcome any woman to be a part of any and all activity. If you are interested in being part of a study group, let Sarah Gonda or the Church office know.
Sunday School classes are available for all ages, from Nursery, beginning at age 2 1/2, through adults, on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am.
Music is a very important part of College Hill Moravian Church life. The
College Hill Senior Choir is directed by
Cheryl Nagle. Cherub, Youth, and Sunday School Choirs participate in worship services on a regular basis. We
also have a Bell Choir, and a Guitar Clinic
which meet weekly.
Our Youth Ministry includes two active Youth Groups: the Junior High Group, for young people in grades 6 through 8 and the Senior High Group for those in grades 9 through 12. The groups have a busy schedule of outings, fellowship and service projects.
